Dean Filandrinos, PharmD, MS, CSPI
Vice President, Operations


Dr. Filandrinos is Vice President of Operations and a Senior Clinical Toxicologist with SafetyCall™ International. Dr. Filandrinos served as Associate Director and a Senior Clinical Toxicologist at PROSAR International Poison Center and as Clinical Toxicologist and Director of Professional Education of the Minnesota Regional Poison Center and Hazard Information Services. He is an Assistant Clinical Professor in the Department of Experimental and Clinical Pharmacology at the University of Minnesota College of Pharmacy where he is co-assistant director of the course in Clinical Toxicology as well as co-assistant director in the College’s internet based Clinical Toxicology course. Dr. Filandrinos has also directed experiential programs in clinical toxicology for students in pharmacy and medicine since 1992. He received his Bachelor of Sciences degree in Zoology from Eastern Illinois University in 1985 and a Master of Science degree in Zoology in 1986. Dr. Filandrinos received a Bachelor of Sciences degree in Pharmacy in 1991 and then his Doctor of Pharmacy Degree in 1992. He completed a post-doctoral residency in Clinical Toxicology with the University of Minnesota and the Minnesota Regional Poison Center at the former St. Paul Ramsey Medical Center in 1993. He has presented numerous scientific abstracts and invited presentations as well as published many scientific abstracts and articles. Dr. Filandrinos is also Associate International Editor for the Internet Journal of Medical Toxicology. Dr. Filandrinos has served as an expert witness in a variety of legal cases including medical malpractice and product liability. He is a Certified Specialist in Poison Information and holds a license to practice pharmacy in Minnesota.
