Dr. Rick Kingston was quoted in the May 17th Tan Sheet articles regarding the FDA's lower tolerance for risk in evaluating serious adverse event reports for dietary supplements. There is thought to be a lower tolerance due to the uncertainty surrounding supplement products. Dr. Kingston adds that benefits of supplements should not be overlooked in the risk/benefit analysis.
